Business Analysis History
Back in the 1970’s Systems Analysts took responsibility for assigning existing manual paper based procedures, identifying issues and new business requirements, and then automating these procedures through computerized systems. This provided considerable savings in staff in addition to improvements to customer support through access to digital information.
Throughout the late 1980’s and 1990’s, companies began to evolve their IT systems to take advantage of new technologies as they tried to make additional savings or improvements in service. During this period, the role of the Systems Analyst evolved to the Company Analyst.Continue Reading
